Dog Portrait Again/Portrait de Chien Encore

Hi all,

Here is the result of a little improvised photo session with our dog.
I had already tried to take protrait of our dog, more or less a year ago, but at the time, our dog was still too young and mad to stay without moving around even with rewards.
This time, at a little more than 2 years old, miss get calm down and obeyed pretty well especially if she can eat some biscuits as rewards.

The photography was rather simple to realize, all was set to manual. I used my 50mm lense with the focal set to f/4 allowing me to get an ideal depth of field to blur the background (a black Tupplur curtain from Ikea) while having the focus on her eyes.
Regarding the lighting schema, I placed my 430 EX II speedlite, at 1/16 of his full power, on the right of the subject, slightly ahead and above. This one was oriented to light a trifle in front of my dog, I attached on the head of my flash a little reflector of mine to send some light on the top of my dog's head. The Flash light was sent back, on the other side, by the white door of a cupboard on her left to fill-in shadows. Both flash and cupboard was at 50cm from her head.

The harder was to get my dog placed exactly where I wanted to, get her with the right posture and not to move. For this, a little stockpile of dog biscuits, allowd to us to get her attention and above all get her eyes fixed on the hand holding rewards for each shoot. The session does not last more than 20 minutes, our dog began to get tired after that.

In any case, here is two photos from the session.
